What we have done

Olcost is a fintech app for personal finance tracking. The idea stemmed from a personal challenge: the client couldn't find a service that felt both modern and user-friendly. Most alternatives are cluttered with overloaded interfaces, complex navigation, and confusing charts. Because of this, even motivated users find it hard to track their expenses consistently. Our goal was to do the exact opposite: make it simple, intuitive, and hassle-free. Rooted in the experience of modern banking apps, it features a clean interface, a calm atmosphere, and smooth mobile interactions. Users open the app not out of a sense of obligation, but because it’s a pleasure to use. That very feeling is what we embedded into the design.

Process

We started with research and a brief interview with the client to better understand the audience. The primary users were young adults aged 25 to 35 who want to manage their finances effortlessly. Following this, we developed the app structure, mapped out user journeys, and crafted the visual style. The design is built on a combination of soft purple and warm yellow, creating a sense of calm and focus. We used clean typography and thoughtfully designed each screen so users can easily manage expenses, receive helpful insights, and track their progress toward financial goals.

Result

In total, we created over 140 screens, from wireframes to a full-fledged MVP design. The prototype helped the client present the product to potential investors and receive very positive feedback. Simplicity, well-thought-out logic, and an intuitive interface became key advantages and kicked off further development. The app is currently gearing up for launch in the local market. We delivered more than just a design—we provided a solid foundation for product growth, complete with a design system, branding, and a clear user experience. This is a story of how great design helps turn an idea into a real product.
