Redesign of an FPV components online store with a focus on convenient product search, a clear catalog structure, and fast checkout.

What we have done

FPV MATES is a Ukrainian supplier of FPV drone components, offering a wide range of electronics, equipment, and accessories for assembling, repairing, and upgrading UAVs. The store's catalog includes flight controllers, motors, cameras, batteries, antennas, radio systems, and other components. The company works with military units, workshops, engineers, and FPV drone manufacturers. Our task was to completely rethink the online store's design, make it more modern, improve navigation, and simplify catalog interaction. Special attention was paid to quick access to essential categories, clear product presentations, and building trust in the supplier. It was important to create an interface that would work equally well for experienced specialists and for customers who are just starting out with FPV equipment.

Process

During the redesign process, we focused on information architecture, product catalog organization, and the visual hierarchy of the pages. The main goal was to make finding components as simple as possible, enabling users to quickly navigate to the desired category, view available products, and place an order without unnecessary steps. We carefully thought through the homepage structure, navigation, category presentation, product cards, and key store interaction elements. For the visual style, we chose a dark color palette with vibrant green accents, which highlights the product's high-tech nature and aligns with the specifics of the FPV industry. High-contrast typography, a clear modular grid, and minimalist components help keep the focus on products and key information. We paid special attention to sections for categories, new arrivals, company advantages, and FAQs, ensuring the homepage not only showcases the product range but also helps users make purchasing decisions faster.

Result

As a result, we created a new design for the FPV MATES online store, featuring a modern, tech-forward interface, an intuitive structure, and a strong focus on user convenience. The updated homepage allows visitors to quickly explore the product range, navigate to the desired category, check out the latest arrivals, and get essential information about the company. The visual system unifies all key elements of the store and lays the groundwork for the product's future growth. For us, this project stands as an example of how thoughtful UX and expressive UI can elevate the perception of even a highly specialized online store. Our goal was not just to create an appealing design, but a user-friendly tool for finding and ordering components—one that caters to the specific audience, supports business needs, and makes the purchasing process seamless.
