What we have done

Do-Flex B.V. is a company specializing in certified heavy equipment operators and rigging personnel for lifting, transport, and industrial operations. The company works with large industrial clients and manages field workers operating across multiple construction sites and diverse logistics environments. We have been partnering with the client since 2018, continuously developing and expanding their internal digital ecosystem. Over the years, the platform has evolved alongside the business, adapting to new operational requirements, employee workflows, and management processes. The latest phase of the project focused on a major update to the previously developed mobile application and web-based admin platform. The goal was to enhance the overall user experience, speed up daily workflows, modernize the interface, and introduce new functionality based directly on feedback from employees actively using the system in the field. The business needed a more efficient way to manage personnel, assign tasks, track working hours, approve timesheets, and centralize employee-related documentation, while reducing manual administrative work and streamlining communication among workers, managers, and clients.

Process

The platform is primarily used by managers, logistics coordinators, warehouse workers, operations leads, and company owners responsible for overseeing day-to-day workforce management operations. We updated and expanded the mobile app for iOS and Android while completely rebuilding the web admin interface from scratch. The upgraded system received more intuitive navigation, faster interactions, and a more structured user experience across all devices. New functionality included employee task management, time tracking, digital timesheets, approval workflows, photo reports, employee document management, invoice generation, a notification system, role-based permissions, and real-time employee tracking with Google Maps API integration. One of the key improvements was the job sign-off process, which allows employees to log their hours directly from the job site, attach photo reports, and submit timesheets to clients for digital sign-off. Managers can now monitor employee activity, track movement history, review reports, manage permissions, and oversee operations through a fully centralized system. The project was completed in about one month by a team consisting of two Full Stack developers, one designer, and one project manager. The process included UX research, UI redesign, wireframing, workflow optimization, and iterative testing based on real feedback from employees.

Result

Special attention was paid to ease of use and interface clarity. Since the platform is actively used by field workers in a fast-paced industrial environment, the interface had to remain intuitive, fast, and easy to navigate, with minimal friction during daily tasks. The admin platform was also completely rebuilt with a new architecture focused on scalability, performance, and long-term operational efficiency. As a result, Do-Flex received a significantly faster and more scalable operational platform with an updated mobile experience, streamlined administrative processes, and expanded functionality that supports both employees and management teams. For us, this project became another example of how long-term collaboration and continuous product evolution can transform internal business processes into a modern, efficient, and scalable digital ecosystem.
